Chapter 1: Spatial Reimagination – From Attic to Duplex Transformation

“Architecture should remain silent, letting light and wind speak.” — Tadao Ando. This guiding principle seems to be woven into the very fabric of this remarkable residence. The designers embraced a pristine white as their foundational palette, accented by sophisticated blacks and grays. Through a captivating interplay of sharp geometric forms and soft, diffused light, they’ve sculpted a dwelling that feels both serenely calm and deeply poetic. The original structure of this home was a common sloped-roof attic. However, the design team dared to break from convention, strategically inserting a mezzanine level.
