As the first branded hotel in Indonesia, it features 123 villas, with classic Indonesian architecture stretching along the coastline to form a distinctive scenery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u00a9\ufe0fJumeirah Bali<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Inspired by Indian and Javanese cultures, the hotel&#8217;s architecture is crafted by Martin Grounds of Grounds Kent Architect. The design honors Geoffrey Bawa&#8217;s &#8220;tropical modernism&#8221; philosophy. In Balinese culture, many elements carry specific symbolic meanings. The locals view doors as crucial gateways linking the real world with the spiritual realm. Behind this majestic tree lies an enchanting garden. In an Arabic-inspired courtyard, there stands a traditional Javanese pavilion in pendopo style, accompanied by various water features that evoke a sense of tranquility. This setting provides an ideal space for weary travelers to unwind and relax. The boundless view of the Indian Ocean stretches out before you, melting away all physical and mental fatigue. Intricate wall carvings narrate tales from the ancient Indian epic Ramayana. The scenic terraces are meticulously sculpted along the gentle coastal slope, with the hotel lobby at the topmost level, followed by small plazas and villa tiers below. The calming and melodic sound of waves crashing against the shore provides a constant backdrop. The expansive gardens surrounding the hotel were designed by the late Made Wijaya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Delving into Hidden Realms<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After passing through a small square, you&#8217;ll reach the villa area. The hotel boasts 123 standalone villas, each offering a private sanctuary for guests. Each villa features a private pool, an outdoor living area, and a tropical landscaped garden. While floor-to-ceiling doors and windows separate indoor and outdoor spaces, a special small terrace by the bedside allows guests to relax while enjoying both indoor comfort and outdoor scenery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To imbue the villas with an authentic local flavor, Denniston International&#8217;s team incorporated open-air showers and pendopo-style Javanese traditional pavilions. The hotel features three signature restaurants and bars under the guidance of Chef Vincent Leroux. Guests can enjoy gourmet meals at AKASA Gastro Grill perched on a hilltop, relax at MAJA Sunset Pool by the poolside, or dine all day at SEGARAN with stunning coastal views.
